Job description

Job Description Full Time, Direct Hire, Day Shift (6:00a to 2:30p) Supports the Production Supervisor in overseeing daily operations on the production floor. Assists in managing production staff and ensuring quality, safety, and efficiency across all production activities. Primary Responsibilities: Support the monitoring of assembly line operations to ensure product quality and conformity.

Assist in stopping or resetting the assembly line when malfunctions occur and coordinate with relevant personnel for corrective actions. Help oversee equipment calibration and report maintenance needs. Work alongside the Production Supervisor to initiate corrective actions that prevent product nonconformance.

Lead by example and support production team members to maintain high morale and productivity. Reinforce work instructions and company policies to maintain positive labor relations. Provide basic technical assistance and escalate complex issues to the Production Supervisor or Maintenance.

Assist in evaluating personnel performance and providing constructive feedback under supervision. Ensure work is conducted in a safe and responsible manner following company policies and procedures. Maintain confidentiality and demonstrate professionalism and ethical behavior in all responsibilities.

Support adherence to safety, Responsible Care, and other applicable procedures. Help coordinate with support staff for administrative or operational tasks as needed. Participate in training initiatives and help ensure personnel are adequately trained for their roles.

Assist with coaching and minor disciplinary actions in alignment with company policy. Collaborate in troubleshooting operational problems on the plant floor. Support implementation of new production equipment and processes as directed.

Help track and improve performance indicators related to quality, efficiency, and safety. Provide input on scheduling and personnel deployment to improve labor cost efficiency. Promote high performance standards for safety, quality, cost control, and throughput.

Ensure consistent communication with the Production Supervisor regarding team performance, safety, and operational status. Participate in continuous improvement initiatives in plant operations. Paid holiday, time off, benefits, 401k.
