At our boulangerie and patisserie, we pride ourselves on crafting artisan loaves, laminated pastries, cakes, focaccia, sandwiches, and a variety of market goods. We're looking for an experienced and reliable Assistant Pastry Chef to help us bring our culinary vision to life.

What You'll Do

As an Assistant Pastry Chef, you'll play a vital role in our kitchen, supporting the team in creating high-quality baked goods and pastries. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Full-time hours Wednesdays through Sundays, morning schedule per Pastry Chef’s direction.
  • Assisting in the preparation and baking of artisan breads, pastries, cakes, and other baked goods.
  • Supporting the execution of laminated pastries with precision and care.
  • Maintaining consistency in product quality and presentation.
  • Collaborating with the team to ensure smooth daily operations.
  • Upholding cleanliness and organization in the kitchen.
  • Adhering to food safety and sanitation standards.
What We're Looking For

  • 2-4 years of experience in a professional bakery or pastry kitchen.
  • A strong foundation in pastry techniques from lamination to bake of vienoisserie; bread experience is a plus!

  • The ability to work well in a team-oriented environment.
  • The ability to stand and work for extended periods; be able to bend, kneel, crouch, reach, and lift throughout the shift; safely lift and carry up to 50 pounds; work comfortably in a fast-paced commercial kitchen with varying temperatures.
