With limited supervision, the Assistant Kitchenย Manager supports back-of-house team members and Kitchen Managers by maintaining restaurant kitchen standards and consistently achieving overall quality daily. An ideal candidate should be a leader with a coaching attitude who enjoys helping the restaurant management team and team members run efficient back-of-house operations.ย ย 

POSITION DETAILSย 

  • Maintain high employment standards consistent with Bloomin' Brands policiesย 
  • Assist in set ups for the opening crew in the kitchenย 
  • Check schedule for in-coming team membersย 
  • Adhere to and coach on security proceduresย 
  • Evaluate the close from night beforeย 
  • Review daily inventoryย 
  • Prepare to receive ordersย 
  • Track of shelf-life adherenceย 
  • Check temps on freezer, dish machine and refrigeration units before preppingย 
  • Learn flavor profiles and specifications of menu itemsย 
  • Follow recipe cards with no compromiseย 
  • Review daily sanitation checklists and conduct checksย 
  • Conduct daily health inspectionsย 
  • Adhere to sanitation, temperature and food safety standardsย 
  • Work the flow and timeliness of tickets to ensure exceptional cook timesย 


MINIMUM REQUIREMENTSย 

  • Certified trainer in any back-of-house functionsย 
  • Passing grade in Assessment testingย 
  • Must be willing and able to work a flexible scheduleย 
  • Legal authorization to work in the United Statesย 
  • Minimum 21 years of ageย 


PREFERRED REQUIREMENTSย 

  • Previous experience in restaurant industryย 
  • Previously held positions of leadershipย 
  • Trained and proficient in all areas of back-of-house functionsย
