The Majestic Oaks Rehabilitation and Nursing Center is seeking a Assistant Director of Food Services / Cook Candidate must be able to work in fast paced environment and supervise support staff.

Responsibilities of Assistant Director of Food Services / Cook:

  • Assisting Director in Managing Department

  • Ordering through food procurement system as needed.

  • Working with Dietary Manager online program.

  • Prepare food in accordance with sanitary regulations as well as our established policies and procedures

  • Ensure that safety regulations and precautions are followed at all times by all personnel

  • Follow established Infection Control Precautions policies and procedures when performing daily tasks

  • Assist and direct daily or scheduled cleaning duties in accordance with established policies and procedures

  • Ensure that the department is maintained in a clean and safe manner by assuring that necessary equipment and supplies are maintained

  • Report all hazardous conditions or equipment to the Food Service Director immediately

  • Assist in maintaining food storage areas in a clean and properly arranged manner at all times

Requirements of Assistant Director of Food Services / Cook:

  • High School Graduate/ High school or equivalent

  • Cooking background in long-term care facility and /or Culinary Education

  • Knowledge of food sanitation and batch cooking

  • Long Term Care Cooking Required: 2 year

  • Safe Serve Certification Required or ability to obtain within 30 days.

  • Computer Experience required .
