The Assistant Controller supports the Controller in managing accounting operations, financial reporting, and compliance. This role focuses on execution, accuracy, and maintaining efficient financial processes. 

This is an in-office position; applicants must reside in or near Sterling, VA.


Responsibilities 

  • Assist in preparing financial statements and reports 

  • Support month-end and year-end close processes 

  • Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts 

  • Review financial transactions for accuracy 

  • Assist with internal and external audits 

  • Help enforce accounting policies and compliance standards 

  • Support budgeting and forecasting activities 

  • Improve accounting workflows and internal controls

Qualifications
