Job description

No more nights, weekends or holidays! OnLogic is looking for a full time Cafe Assistant (Mon-Fri, 6am to 2:30pm) to work in our employee cafe, located in South Burlington, Vermont. This person will be responsible for aspects of cafe prep, food service, and cleaning, alongside our Chef. The Cafe Assistant will create high quality, tasty food for our employees, while simultaneously creating a welcoming atmosphere for fellow employees.
In this role, you'll be responsible for:
  • Preparing & serving high quality breakfast & lunch for employees using fresh local ingredients whenever possible
  • Being aware of allergens, dietary restrictions, and food sensitivities
  • Dish and kitchen cleanup to ensure a tidy, safe & functional environment
  • Interfacing directly with employees during meal times to establish a good rapport
  • Assisting with organizing inventory of all necessary food items
  • Assisting with maintaining & stocking office snack areas
  • Helping create a fun and welcoming atmosphere
  • Stepping in to run cafe operations and serve meals when the Chef is away

Requirements
  • Past kitchen experience preferred
  • Experience building and fostering positive relationships with other employees and teams
  • Ability to follow kitchen systems and protocols
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs on occasion, with reasonable accommodations
  • Willingness to abide by external health department regulations, as well as our internal requirements for this position, which includes, but is not limited to, being clean-shaven. Reasonable accommodations considered.
  • Ability to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship

The salary range for this role is $45,000 to $50,000. We determine final compensation based on discussions with applicants and their experience in similar roles.
