Job description

Dekker is seeking a professional, highly organized, and customer-focused Receptionist for its Albuquerque office. This role focuses on making every client's experience in our office exceptional. They greet, assist, and provide direction and information to clients, visitors, and other guests of the organization. As passionate and self-driven team members at Dekker, candidates would play a key role in creating inspired experiences for everyone they interact with, backed by support of a firm that has been a staple in the industry for more than 60 years.
Responsibilities:
  • Greets clients, visitors, and guests; determines the purpose of each person's visit and directs or escorts them to the appropriate location
  • Answers, screens, and directs phone calls to staff; takes messages and schedules appointments
  • Receives mail, documents, packages, and courier deliveries and delivers or distributes items
  • Manages the preparation, set-up, and clean-up of office client meetings, events, and gatherings
  • Organizes and schedules product rep visits and continuing education events
  • Performs administrative and clerical support tasks
  • Performs basic filing and recordkeeping
  • Schedules travel
  • Schedules meetings and reviews as requested
  • Identifies and communicates out progress, accomplishments, challenges, and support needed to complete responsibilities

Qualifications:
  • Ability to work a consistent, full-time, in-office schedule of Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to perform the essential physical functions of the position, including standing and walking for extended periods; occasionally lifting, carrying, or moving items weighing up to 25 pounds (such as packages, office supplies, or meeting materials); and bending, reaching, and stooping as needed to support daily office operations.
  • Demonstrated interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and related software
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Basic understanding of clerical procedures and systems such as recordkeeping and filing
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
