What are Appraisal Assistants?

Appraisal Assistants are professionals who support appraisers in evaluating the value of properties, such as real estate or personal assets. Their duties typically include gathering property data, preparing reports, conducting research, and handling administrative tasks. They help ensure accurate and timely appraisals by organizing documentation, scheduling appointments, and sometimes assisting with on-site property inspections. Appraisal Assistants play a key role in the appraisal process by facilitating workflow and communication between appraisers, clients, and other stakeholders.

Will AI replace appraisers?

AI technology is increasingly used to assist appraisers by providing data analysis and valuation models, but it is unlikely to fully replace human appraisers. Appraisers' expertise, judgment, and understanding of local market conditions remain essential for accurate property assessments. AI tools serve as support rather than a complete substitute in the appraisal process.
