Job Description:

As a Group Product Manager, you will directly manage and lead a team of product managers and be responsible for the vision, strategy, and execution of an exciting and impactful portfolio. You will nurture and grow existing supplemental and intervention products in literacy and math, while also defining new opportunities for Amplify to pursue. You will partner with cross-functional teammates in all phases of product development, delivering solutions that are loved by users and deliver educational impact. You will also oversee our free content team, continuing our mission to support educators and students with high quality instructional materials and experiences.

Responsibilities:

  • Define the north star - set and communicate the vision and strategy for your product(s). Leverage market intelligence, customer feedback, and data insights to define the multi-year product roadmap and initiatives (products and services) that secures market leadership, sets us apart from competition, and generates impact at scale.

  • Transform teaching and learning - continuously push on opportunities to drive real-word value in new ways, measurably saving teachers time, extending teachers' reach, deepening teachers' understanding of every student, and driving student outcomes through new initiatives.

  • Spearhead planning - set OKRs for your product(s) and hold yourself and team accountable for delivering them. Lead your team through annual product planning (research initiatives, prioritization, estimation, release plans) and communicate the outcome to your team and broader organization. Develop team models, pressure test cross-functional staffing plans, and advocate for resource optimization that delivers business goals.

  • Deliver commercial results - drive commercial performance for your product(s). Partner with leadership on P&L targets and investment decisions. Set competitive pricing, establish and manage budgets, determine the distribution model, be accountable for supply chain decisions, scaling and performance targets, and achieve gross margin targets. Own driving projects through the stage gate process. Adhere to approved project scopes and ensure end-to-end product delivery is on time and with quality. Drive adoption, customer satisfaction, and bookings/revenue growth for your product(s).

  • Obsess over your users - regularly engage with customers (sales ride-alongs, strategic account support, user research) to deeply understand their needs, translate them into product priorities, and advocate for users in all phases of product development

  • Stay ahead of the market and competition - proactively research market trends and industry moves. Know your competitor programs (established and emerging players) and have a strategy for how and why we beat them. Deeply understand and track state-level curriculum standards and intervention requirements and relevant legislative trends. Partner with Content to translate these into executable product concepts.

  • Drive execution at scale and with quality - lead products end-to-end from concept through launch and iteration, balancing innovation with speed, achieving product market fit, and ensuring seamless delivery across thousands of classrooms

  • Develop the go-to-market approach - partner with Marketing and Sales to create a tactical blueprint for how a product will be introduced to the market, reach its target customers, and achieve a competitive advantage. Understand and deliver on the numerous resources required ahead of commercial launch to build pipeline and win

  • Lead with influence - work cross-functionally across engineering, design, marketing, research, and curriculum partners, ensuring alignment, clarity, and momentum even in highly complex environments. Be the "go to" person for your product(s) with internal stakeholders, partners, and customers.

  • Coach a team of excellent product managers - lead and mentor a team of product managers, fostering a culture of customer obsession, innovation, operational excellence, and continuous improvement.

  • Contribute to external eminence - evaluate partnership opportunities and participate in external opportunities to elevate Amplify's brand and thought leadership.

  • You create structure around ambiguity - leveraging tools like RAPID, direct conversations, and cross-functional forums to align decisions and accelerate progress.

Basic Qualifications:
