Job description

We are looking for a Manager Aggregates Sales to join our team in Columbia, SC, area with a territory that includes: 3 Sand facilities, Dixiana, Lanier and Sumter. As a Manager Aggregates Sales with Quikrete Heavy Construction Materials, will be instrumental in full life cycle sales, including assisting with identifying new customers, developing quotations, customer communication and service, relationship building, and customer retention in the small and mid-size businesses in the aggregates construction industry. You will be part of a team dedicated to developing new business and establishing long-lasting relationships.

About the Role
Responsibilities:
Proactively identify, pursue, and close new opportunities, including audiences within: Construction Contractors; Concrete & Asphalt providers; Landscapers/Hardscapers; Property Owners and DIYers to name just a few)
Build relationships with contractors, developers, project managers, and estimators
Stay ahead of upcoming jobs by working job sites, plans rooms, and local networks
Quote projects and follow up relentlessly to win the work
Grow assigned territory through consistent field activity, not desk sales
Maintain key customer relationships while actively expanding volume
Increase share of wallet with existing customers
Address issues quickly to protect relationships and keep jobs moving
Communicate closely with sales team, operations, and plant management
Understand production capacity and pricing strategy
Track pipeline, forecasts, and booked work accurately
Ensure a safe work environment by overseeing compliance with all safety policies and procedures including the demonstration and communication that safety is the number one priority. Prompt reporting of any concerns.
This position requires management adherence with all company standards, policies and procedures, as well as compliance with all federal and state regulations.
Other duties as assigned.
About You
We Require:
Minimum of 4 years of construction management, sales or industry exposure
Track record of building scalable relationships
Comfortable being in the field daily (job sites, offices, networking)
advanced user and creator of inspiring email, spreadsheet and customer presentations.
Self-starter who doesn't need to be micromanaged
Preferred
Existing contractor relationships in the market
Experience reading plans and understanding engineering specs
CRM or sales tracking experience
