Job description

TITLE:                        ADVERTISING SPECIALIST

APPROVED:              October 1, 2024

The Advertising Specialist is responsible for assisting in all aspects and activities of Marketing advertising, including in accordance with the mission and objectives of the company following established policies, procedures, and internal controls. 


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Responsible for all internal and external advertising efforts printed and digital for the company.
  2. Responsible for flow of information by maintaining written and verbal communication amongst all departments to ensure efficient service.
  3. Assist the Marketing Administrator with all planning, presenting, and execution of company advertising goals with outside advertising agencies.
  4. Coordinates with department Team Members, photo, and video opportunities on or off property for the use of advertising.
  5. Review and revise as needed, advertising buys billboards, radio, TV, and digital with advertising agency under the direction of the Marketing Administrator.
  6. Reviews and approves requests for, or external use of, company designs, photos, and videos for advertising, printed, digital images, videos, and websites under the direction of the Marketing Administrator.
  7. Create and send copy for advertising material, promotions, concerts, restaurant, club, or property branding.
  8. Participate in media interviews, TV, Radio, etc.
  9. Arrange for billing or payment in accordance with contract agreements with advertising media (Deposits, final payment, commissions, and accounts payable).
  10. Communicates advertising plans with Social Media Specialist and Entertainment Coordinator to complement marketing goals.
  11. Retain information concerning all current promotions, entertainment, and events.
  12. Maintain the highest level of confidentiality and professionalism within the department and vendors.
  13. Updates and maintains company’s website, website information, and presentation under the direction of the Marketing Manager.
  14. Train other department Team Members as needed.
  15. Must attend and be certified in all applicable trainings required.
  16. All other departmental duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:

  1. Associate degree plus two (2) years’ experience in advertising, or four (4) years of marketing experience in a related industry with advertising experience preferred.
  2. Minimum age requirement is twenty-one (21).
  3. Bilingual (Spanish/English) a plus.
  4. Experience in casino industry entertainment, slots, and table games preferred.
  5. Knowledge and experience creating advertising traffic plans.
  6. Knowledge and experience working with advertising agency.
  7. Must have experience in maintaining and updating a website for a business.
  8. Excellent organizational, communication, interpersonal, and guest service skills.
  9. Must be proficient in Microsoft Suite, internet, digital marketing, and office equipment.
  10. If Driving is required team member must have a valid driver’s license and be insurable through Eagle Mountain Casino’s insurance carrier.
  11. Willing to work some nights and weekends.
  12. Willing to travel for events and trainings.
  13. Able to obtain and retain a gaming license through the Tule River Tribe Gaming Commission.

PHYSICAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL:

  1. While performing the duties of this job, the Team Member is regularly positioning themselves to move about office and casino, as necessary.
  2. Occasionally operates office and media equipment.
  3. Must be able to operate in mentally and physically stressful situations.
  4. Environment is administrative setting with occasional visits to the casino floor.
  5. Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
  6. Must be able to lift and carry up to 30 pounds.
  7. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
  8. Noise level is moderate to high when on casino floor.
  9. Exposed to cigarette smoke, ringing bells, and flashing lights when on the casino floor.
  10. Must be able to perform all essential duties of the job with or without reasonable accommodation.
