Job description

We are looking for a Sr. UX Designer to drive the next evolution of our advertising business. In this role you will design, test, and deploy innovative experiences that help Amazon shoppers discover new products, find inspiration, and connect with brands-globally and at scale.
As part of the Amazon Advertising User Experience team, you'll be involved in all aspects of product development from brainstorming the next innovation to working collaboratively with user research, engineering, product management to bring it to life. Our customers are advertisers, and we work backwards from customer needs while setting high standards for yourself and the team. You will utilize a full range of skills including, wire framing, interaction design, prototyping, and visual design to bring new experiences to fruition. Most importantly, you will have a direct impact on the customer experience for advertisers looking to buy with Amazon.
Amazon Advertising operates at the intersection of eCommerce and advertising, offering a rich array of advertising solutions with the goal of helping our customers find and discover anything they want to buy.
Key job responsibilities
* Create user-centered designs by considering market analysis, data, customer feedback, user research and technical constraints/opportunities.
* Quickly and thoroughly create user flows, wireframes, design mockups, and prototypes to effectively conceptualize new product initiatives.
* Relentlessly simplify and distill complex processes into intuitive and elegant UI.
* Establish and maintain detailed user-interface patterns and specifications-working closely with developers to see your design through to deployment.
* Proven ability to work cross-team and synthesize feedback and input from business leaders, product management, and engineering.
* Communicate complex, interactive design concepts clearly and persuasively across different audiences and varying levels of the organization.
* Partner closely with other product and design teams across Amazon.
Preferred requirements
* Understanding of HTML, Javascript and CSS that informs design and interaction decisions.
* Strong prototyping and interaction design skillset.
* Expert design acumen demonstrated through owning product design end-to-end.
* Experience designing products for global markets.
* Excellent designing with and for AI
* Experience designing digital advertising solutions or enterprise products is a plus.

The Advertiser UX (AUX) team serves as the strategic design center for Amazon Ads, designing end-to-end experiences for advertisers, publishers, partners, and internal account teams across the Ads Console, PubTech, and Sales organizations. Our vision is to enable advertisers of all sizes to effortlessly harness advertising potential through intuitive, intelligent, and unified experiences. Operating across multiple product teams, AUX carries a view of our advertisers that no single domain holds, enabling us to look around corners, inform the creation of bar-raising experiences, and connect the quality of those experiences to the real value they deliver.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 8+ years of design experience
- Have an available online portfolio
- Experience with design tools such as Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign and prototyping in HTML, JavaScript, CSS, Ajax
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience applying scrum to visual or UX design processes
- Experience with UX design of complex workflows

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
