Job description

The Administrative Assistant, located in the Midwest office in West Bloomfield, MI, is responsible for providing effective support to Midwest volunteers and staff so that the Geographic Area, Region, and Chapter goals are achieved. The AA is responsible for undertaking tasks related to fundraising, membership, programming, communications, customer service, and office operations.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative support to Hadassah Midwest leadership and staff
  • Work collaboratively with staff and volunteers to support programs, events, and projects
  • Generate registration reports from Microsoft Excel, record fees and/or donations for programs
  • Prepare correspondence, mailings, nametags, signage for events
  • Update Region directories
  • Maintain and update donor data base
  • Assist with scheduling meetings and calls as needed
  • Schedule Zoom meetings and provide technical support as needed
  • Service and troubleshoot problems and issues that arise with members/volunteers
  • Answer phones and be first point of contact for most Membership and Fundraising inquiries
  • Organize, manage, and purchase inventory supplies
  • Maintains office services: printer, postage meter, water cooler
  • Staff events as needed
  • Other duties as required

Required Knowledge, Education, Experience

  • BA or 2-3 years equivalent experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • CRM/Salesforce Experience a plus
