Responsibilities
  • Become proficient in the use of selected technology and software to accomplish timely and accurate gift processing, receipting, and financial reporting.
  • Serve as a resource to Business Managers and their support staff with questions regarding gift and pledge processing and recording in Ascend.
  • Provide excellent customer service to fundraisers and their support staff with questions regarding processed gifts, deposits, and corrections to gift accounts.
  • Assist with daily review, processing and closing adjustment sessions in Ascend. Provide correction notices to receiving accounting area.
  • Assist with the monthly reconciliation of pending accounting corrections confirming PRF and university accountants have completed requested correction.
  • Assist with the set-up and deactivation of gift accounts for Purdue University, PRF, PFLF and Regional campuses in Ascend.
  • Monthly assist with the reconciliation of pending and clearing items and possible keying errors in Salesforce Ascend and move funds as items are resolved.
  • Assist with the monthly pledge reminder process, reviewing and mailing statements.
  • Assist with the monthly follow-up on past due pledges.
  • Assist with the monthly processing of payroll deduction request.
  • Assist with the monthly reconciliation of the university payroll loads and biweekly reconciliation of the PRF payroll loads to Ascend.
  • Assist with identifying and implementation of audits to ensure Ascend and OneSolution system data is accurate.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities
  • Personal computer and related software skills necessary, Salesforce experience a plus.
  • Detail-oriented, strong organizational skills, problem-solving, written and verbal communication skills required.
  • Able to handle confidential material responsibly and interact professionally with a wide spectrum of individuals.
  • Strong work ethic, ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
  • Regular and reliable in-person attendance is a requirement of this position.
  • Occasional evening, weekend and Holiday work.

Required Education, Experience and Benefits Summary
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience with databases and accounting procedures required.
  • One year data entry experience required.
  • Experience in assisting customer or constituent relationships through excellent verbal and written communication.
  • University /PRF accounting experience preferred.
