Job description

Description

Purpose of Position: To develop and maintain exceptional relationships with current and new customers and to facilitate communication between the customer and Fairhope Aero.  

Essential Functions: (must be able to perform these functions, with or without reasonable accommodation) 

Responsible for fostering and maintaining relationships with customer accounts.  

Acts as the primary point of contact for customers and serves as a liaison between internal teams and customers.

Monitors customer accounts and proactively identifies opportunities to provide additional support.

Interacts with technical staff to help customers solve complex problems effectively.

Effectively communicates with customers via email, phone, and in person.

Reviews and interprets customers' purchase orders, repair orders, and other instructions. 

Generates projects and provides accurate information to shop personnel.

Responsible for creating and managing sales orders in Corridor, ERP system.

Monitors and manages customer orders from inception to completion.

Generates quotes and estimates in Corridor, ERP system, for projects and sales orders.

Provides customers with accurate cost estimates, status reports, and technical information as required. 

Effectively communicates with members of other departments including Production, Quality, Logistics, and others as required.

Plans and coordinates the arrival and departure of customer's goods.   

Actively engages with continuous improvement education and training and professional/personal development in alignment and uses technology to find ways to streamline and improve work processes.

Travels to meet with new and current customers and to attend industry events.

Confers with the supervisor to recommend changes such as equipment utilization, methods, and procedures to increase the efficiency of the department and promote improvement.

Attends all safety and health training, as required, in a timely manner.

Works when scheduled and complies with company attendance policy.

Works overtime as required.

Observes and practices all safety procedures and personal policies (e g Safety-glasses, ear plugs, face shields etc.)

Other duties as assigned.

Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities: (these are required to enable the job holder to perform the essential functions of the job)

Ability to provide verifications of US citizenship or permanent residency to satisfy ITAR/EAR restrictions 

Ability to travel up to 25%

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Proficiency in using Microsoft products and ERP systems.

Must have intermediate to advanced Microsoft computer skills (Word, Outlook, Excel) and the ability to learn and be proficient in company-specific software.

Must be able to maintain an effective working relationship with, and among co-workers and supervisors.

Must be able to work with little or no supervision and take initiative.

Must be able to use applied knowledge to formulate positive solutions to problem situations.

Must be able to apply common sense.

Must be able to effectively read, write, and communicate in English.

Must be able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide, using fractions and decimals; compute percentages, ratios, and rates and interpret graphs. 

Must be able to comply with OSHA requirements and standards to properly wear all applicable PPE.

Must be able to lift and carry up to 25 lbs. regularly and more, with assistance occasionally.

Must be able to see within the normal range of vision with or without corrective lenses.

Must be able to sit for extended periods of time while using hands, fingers, and wrists repetitively.

Must be able to stand, walk, reach overhead, squat, bend, twist, stoop, kneel, and climb stairs as needed.

Experience and Education Requirements: 

Must be at least 18 years old or older and a High School Diploma or GED is required.

Minimum three (3) years of customer service / account management experience is required. 

Ability to travel and obtain a valid passport is required.

Previous experience in an aviation business development / sales environment is preferred. 

Bachelor's degree or Associate degree in Business or related field is a plus. 

Must have a valid driver's license and be insurable through the company's insurance carrier.  

Must pass a criminal background check and pre-employment drug screen. 

Work Conditions:

Works in an office environment and frequently subjected to the plant area with moving machinery and loud noises.
