Job Summary

Mega Bank is seeking a New Accounts Representative who will be primarily responsible for explaining to prospective and existing customers the various types of depository products and services that the Bank offers. The ideal candidate can retain knowledge gained, obtain necessary documents and verification prior to open personal and business accounts, order checks, assist customers in all aspects of opening, using, and closing the safe-deposit boxes, as well as answer incoming telephone calls and taking down messages.

Job Duties

  • Establish proper identification of the new customer. Verify with Chex System, or equivalent to determine if the customer is eligible to open accounts with us. Consult with supervisor for approval if further approval is needed to open or refuse to open new accounts.
  • Must maintain a good working knowledge of bank's existing, new products and services offered.
  • Comply with all Bank policies in handling/opening all accounts including all interest and non-interest bearing accounts and safe deposit boxes.
  • Answer all inquiries regarding interest rate, depository accounts, and other services that Bank offers. New Accounts Representative is also responsible to redirect all loan inquiries to the branch loan department.
  • Filing new account reports, new/closed signature and new accounts documentation and information sheet.
  • Perform other duties as needed and assigned by management.


Qualifications

  • 1 to 3 years of experience as a New Accounts Representative REQUIRED.
  • Bilingual in Chinese and English.
  • Excellent customer service and sales skills.
  • Proven working experience in banking, personal banking, retail banking or financial services.
  • Basic PC knowledge.
  • Attention to detail and mathematical skills.
  • Strong written, verbal and collaboration skills.
