Energy Management Systems is a 41-year-old, growing business in the energy sector. Our primary product is utility sub-meter reading and billing for multi-tenanted commercial properties. We are looking for an Associate to join our Billing Operations team.
 
This customer-facing position will assist the Account Integration and Account Representative departments with initializing accounts for and servicing a portfolio of residential and commercial properties for which we provide utility billing services. The successful candidate will have superior organizational abilities, excellent verbal and written communication skills and the drive and determination to play a key role in a dynamic and growing organization.
Responsibilities
  • Assist Account Representatives with processing account changes, including tenant move-ins and move-outs, for large volume of residential and commercial properties
  • Assist Account Representative with processing overflow tenant submeter utility billings for the portfolio in a timely and efficient manner
  • Contact customers when requested to obtain information
  • Access customer's accounting system daily to pull information necessary to process tenant submeter utility bills
  • Assist Account Integration Team, Rates Department and Account Representative Team with other administrative tasks as needed
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree from accredited four (4) year college preferred but will consider other relevant experience
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner
  • Ability to meet deadlines is a must
  • Ability to gather and analyze information skillfully and efficiently
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational and multitasking skills are essential
  • Technological literacy including familiarity with Microsoft Word/Excel, and other industry-specific software and the ability to master new technologies as they come on-line
  • Strong internet skills, including use of e-mail programs, group messaging, and use of online meeting platforms.
  • Strong mathematical acumen
  • Ability to effectively adapt to changes in the work environment and/or scope of work
  • Ability to work well with others is essential
