About the Role:
Halker Consulting is a nationwide provider of multi-disciplined Engineering, Design, Project Management, Procurement and Field Services for a wide variety of Energy Industry sectors.
The company specializes in Oil and Gas surface facilities, Power infrastructure, Environmental remediation and design, Automation and Digital Solutions, and federal, state, and local regulatory compliance.
*This position is an in office/hybrid position. Candidates must be based in Colorado and able/willing to work in office*
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and issue accurate client invoices based on project contracts, time and materials, progress billing, or milestone schedules.
  • Collaborate with project managers to review billing details, including labor, expenses, and subcontractor costs.
  • Manage the full accounts receivable cycle, including cash application and account reconciliations.
  • Monitor aging reports and proactively follow up on outstanding invoices to drive timely collections.
  • Lead collections efforts through professional communication with clients while maintaining positive relationships.
  • Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies, contract issues, or payment delays.
  • Maintain detailed and organized records of project billing and receivables.
  • Assist with month-end close, including A/R reconciliations, revenue tracking, and reporting.
  • Support continuous improvement of billing processes and internal controls.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • 2+ years of experience, preferably in accounts receivable, billing, or project accounting.
  • College degree in accounting/finance, or related field preferred.
  • Familiarity with ERP or project accounting systems (Deltek, NetSuite, or similar) or a willingness to learn.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

Compensation and Benefits:
  • Expected Annual Range: $60,000 - $65,000. Compensation is negotiable and shall be offered commensurate with experience.
