Accounts Receivable Specialist | $26โ€“$28 per hour | Mondayโ€“Friday, 8AMโ€“5PM | Full-Time | Temporary (3โ€“6 Months)

Job Description
Our client is seeking an experienced Accounts Receivable Specialist to join their accounting team on a temporary 3โ€“6 month assignment. This position is responsible for managing customer accounts, collecting outstanding balances, reconciling accounts, resolving billing discrepancies, and supporting healthy cash flow. The ideal candidate has at least five years of Accounts Receivable or Collections experience, strong communication skills, and experience working in ERP systems.

Responsibilities
  • Monitor assigned customer accounts to ensure timely collection of outstanding invoices.
  • Contact customers by phone, email, and written correspondence regarding past-due balances.
  • Review aging reports and prioritize collection efforts based on delinquency and risk.
  • Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies, disputes, and payment issues with internal departments.
  • Reconcile customer accounts and maintain accurate documentation of collection activities.
  • Negotiate payment arrangements and follow through on customer commitments.
  • Apply customer payments accurately and assist with cash application when needed.
  • Prepare customer statements, aging reports, and collection documentation.
  • Escalate delinquent or high-risk accounts when appropriate.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting procedures, and financial regulations.
Qualifications and Requirements
  • Minimum of 5 years of Accounts Receivable, Collections, or Credit experience required.
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of accounts receivable processes, aging reports, reconciliations, and collections.
  • Experience working with ERP systems.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and customer service skills.
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently while managing multiple customer accounts and priorities.

The base pay range for this position is $54,080โ€“$58,240 annually, excluding benefits, bonuses, or other compensation. Final compensation depends on skills, qualifications, experience, location, and internal pay equity. Hiring at the top of the range is uncommon to allow room for future growth.
