Account Manager/Business Development Manager 

Shift/Hours: Monday - Friday, 9:00 am-5:00 pm
Pay Rate: $75,000-$90,000k + 5% comission
Location: San Jose, CA
Experience: At least 10 years of Account Management and Inside/Outside Sales experience


We are excited to share a new opportunity for an Account Manager/Business Development Manager located in San Jose! This position is highly sought after and might not be available for long. 


Account Manager/Business Development Manager Job Duties Include:

  • Relationship & Pipeline Development: Proactively source, strategize, and develop new strategic client relationships, partnerships, and referrals while maintaining and growing existing accounts to drive continuous business opportunities.
  • Lead Generation & Prospecting: Generate leads for various company services using direct and indirect outreach, including cold calling, targeted email campaigns, and active participation in local and national professional networking organizations.
  • Sales Cycle Management: Close new business on a weekly basis to meet established sales and profit targets. Gather detailed customer requirements, build comprehensive cost estimates, work with leadership to set pricing, and deliver professional proposals.
  • Contracting & Account Maintenance: Negotiate customer contracts, manage orders, and collaborate directly with the Accounting Team to ensure all billing is completely accurate.
  • Client Engagement & Audits: Travel regularly for face-to-face client visits and conduct virtual customer meetings. Perform regular customer business reviews and service audits to maintain high-quality service levels.
  • CRM Data Management: Manage and update the CRM (HubSpot/Apollo) daily to build out organization touchpoints. Ensure all calls, visits, relevant posts, call notes, and customer communication records are strictly entered.
  • RFP & Opportunity Tracking: Manage and monitor RFP sites, purchasing cooperatives, and lead generation programs. Research and analyze upcoming business opportunities to develop actionable capitalization plans.
  • Social Media & Marketing Execution: Manage corporate social media accounts by researching, generating, editing, and sharing daily content (original text, images, video, clips, audio) to build online communities and drive engagement.
  • Campaign & Event Analysis: Track daily marketing events and present the exact Return on Investment (ROI) to the CSO. Continuously analyze social data, digital metrics, and insights to improve overall campaign performance.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with Marketing, Sales Leadership, Operations, and Executive-level members to design and execute growth strategies, pre-sales planning, and brand portfolio objectives.
  • Compliance: Adhere to all corporate policies, procedures, and safety requirements established by the organization.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Account Manager/Business Development Manager Preferred Skills Include:

  • Communication: Exceptional written and oral communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to build trust and maintain lasting customer relationships.
  • Presentation & Strategy: Highly skilled in translating business objectives into insightful strategies and delivering compelling presentations tailored to decision-makers and specific customer needs.
  • Negotiation: Strong commercial negotiation skills with an aptitude for navigating contracts and establishing pricing parameters.
  • Software & Tech Tools: High proficiency with HubSpot CRM, Apollo, Office 365 tools (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams), and specialized digital marketing databases.
  • Analytical Capabilities: Ability to capture, track, and analyze market research, target customer data, and social media/marketing metrics to pivot growth strategies effectively.
  • Performance History: A proven track record of consistently meeting or exceeding sales targets while maintaining elevated levels of customer satisfaction.

Account Manager/Business Development Manager Requirements Include: 

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field is required or highly preferred.
  • Sales & Account Management Experience: A minimum of 3 to 5+ years of relevant professional sales experience is required, with a preference for up to 10+ years in professional sales, including at least 5 years directly in a customer-facing role.
  • Industry Experience: 5+ years of experience in commercial moving, corporate relocation, facility management, or a closely related service industry segment.
  • Travel Mobility: Must be willing and able to travel regularly for face-to-face client visits, regional networking events, and field activity.
  • Professional Ethics: Proven commitment to performing all business development and support practices in an ethical, safe, and professional manner to maintain the company's reputation as a high-quality solutions provider.
  • Must be willing to submit to a pre-employment background check and drug screen 
  • Must provide 3 professional references
