Machinist - 2nd Shift
Job Type: Full-Time Shift: 2nd Shift (2:30 pm - 11:00 pm)
Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Machinist for 2nd shift (2:30pm-11:00pm) to set up and operate various machines in a machine production environment.
Responsibilities
Set up and operate CNC and manual machines. Read and interpret blueprints, part prints, and work orders. Set up tooling, fixtures, clamps, and workpieces. Adjust machine speeds, feeds, RPMs, and other controls. Run parts and inspect using calipers, micrometers, and gauges. Prove out setups and maintain part quality and tolerances. Troubleshoot machining issues and replace worn tooling. Perform basic preventive maintenance on machines. Complete production and inventory documentation. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
Qualifications
Ability to stand for extended periods. Good communication and teamwork skills. Safety-focused and detail-oriented.
Skills & Training
High School diploma, GED, and/or applied trade school education. Advanced shop math skills. Experience working with tight tolerances. Hazardous materials and safety training provided (OSHA / DOT / EPA compliant).
