Sr Program Manager - Payments, API, Digital Platforms
Location: Remote to start for Contract. Then 4 days onsite, 1 Remote once converted FTE.
(Candidates must sit within our clients hiring foot print in a variety of cities in the following states - Ohio, Michigan, Minnesota, Indiana, Pennsylvania, Illinois, Texas, North Carolina, Colorado, West Virginia, Wisconsin
Employment Type: 6+ months - Contract to Perm
Role Overview
The Senior Program Manager is responsible for end-to-end program management of a large-scale modernization program. This role leads integrated planning, execution governance, dependency management, and stakeholder communication across multiple workstreams including platform development, data services, payment origination, and commercialization.
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead day-to-day program management across all program workstreams.
  • Build and maintain the integrated program plan, including milestones, dependencies, and releases.
  • Establish and manage program governance including status reporting, RAID tracking, and executive updates.
  • Coordinate across business, technology, operations, onboarding, and commercialization teams.
  • Identify, track, escalate, and help resolve risks, issues, and blockers.
  • Ensure milestone readiness across development, QA, UAT, and go-live phases.
  • Validate delivery status with business and technology leads and ensure accurate reporting.
  • Facilitate alignment across internal stakeholders and external partners.
  • Drive accountability, transparency, and execution discipline across the program.
  • Prepare executive-ready communications, including dashboards, status reports, and decision materials.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
Education: A Bachelor's Degree is required.
Experience: 7+ years of experience in program management, project management, or related delivery roles. This must include experience managing cross-functional initiatives with multiple stakeholders and experience with structured status reporting, milestone tracking, and communication to executive leadership.
Qualifications
  • Master's Degree.
  • Experience in banking, payments, API programs, or digital platforms.
  • A strong understanding of commercial payments and related workflows.
  • Experience working with agile delivery teams and release planning.
  • Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills in a matrixed organization.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Experience with program governance tools and artifacts such as integrated plans and RAID logs.
  • PMP, PgMP, Agile, or equivalent certification. (Preferred, not required)
