The Department ofSurgery and Specialty Medicineat the Illinois College of Osteopathic Medicine (IllinoisCOM)isseekinga dynamic and experienced physician educator and leaderto serve as faculty in Psychiatry. Thispart-time(0.60 FTE)position offers the opportunity tochampionthe integration of mentalhealththroughoutthe medical education curriculum.Thispositionis opentocandidatesat therank ofAssistantProfessor,AssociateProfessor,or Full Professor.Academicrank tobedeterminedby TheChicago School andIllinoisCOM'sacademic rank policy.
Thesuccessful clinician-educatorwill lead curriculum development across both pre-clinical and clinical phases,buildingthepre-clinicalBehavioral Sciences curriculum and directing thePsychiatry coreclerkship rotation.Additionalresponsibilitiesinclude faculty recruitment and development,establishingclinical partnerships, and fostering research initiatives and community engagement.
