The Director of Operations Analytics will lead the development and execution of a best-in-class analytics function supporting DSV's North American Contract Logistics network. This role is responsible for transforming operational data into actionable insights that drive performance, scalability, and continuous improvement across a multi-site 3PL network.
This leader will manage a team of business analysts and influence a broad set of cross-functional stakeholders, including site leadership, regional operations, engineering, and account management teams.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Organizational Impact
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of business analysts (direct reports), while influencing analytics adoption across site-level and regional operations leadership
  • Serve as a strategic partner to operations, engineering, and commercial leadership to drive data-informed decision making
  • Establish governance, prioritization, and standardization of analytics across the network

Reporting, Analytics & Scorecarding
  • Design, develop, and maintain actionable reporting suites and key performance indicator (KPI) scorecards for:
    • Site-level operational performance (productivity, service, cost)
    • Customer/account-level reporting (SLAs, KPIs, contractual metrics)
  • Ensure reporting is standardized, scalable, and aligned with executive-level visibility
  • Translate complex data into clear insights and recommendations for Operations leadership, solutions design stakeholders, as well as customer-facing stakeholders

Labor & Capacity Planning
  • Establish and continuously improve labor planning methodologies, including:
    • Volume forecasting and workload modeling, collaborating with external customers/partners as well as developing and utilizing homegrown forecasting methods
    • Staffing plans (direct/indirect labor)
    • Productivity benchmarking and engineered labor standards
  • Develop tools and frameworks to support capacity planning across a multi-node distribution network
  • Partner with operations and engineering to optimize throughput, utilization, and cost

Continuous Improvement (CI) & Network Optimization
  • Lead a network-wide continuous improvement program, leveraging data to identify and prioritize opportunities
  • Drive initiatives across:
    • Productivity improvement
    • Cost reduction
    • Service enhancement
    • Solutions design support
  • Implement structured CI methodologies (SMART, Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen) supported by necessary analytics tools and resources
  • Track and report realized benefits from CI initiatives

Technology & Data Enablement
  • Partner with IT and engineering to enhance data infrastructure and analytics capabilities
  • Drive adoption of BI tools and self-service analytics across the organization
  • Ensure alignment between WMS and various other systems, and reporting outputs

Qualifications
Education & Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in International, Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or related field (preferred)
  • 10-15+ years in supply chain, logistics, or operations analytics (3PL experience strongly preferred)
  • 5+ years leading analytics or business intelligence teams, or relevant functional teams
  • Experience in large-scale, multi-site distribution or contract logistics environments
  • Proven track record building analytics functions and influencing operations leadership
  • Experience in customer-facing roles

Technical & Functional Skills
  • Advanced Excel (modeling, large dataset manipulation)
  • Working experience in Business Intelligence tools (Power BI, Tableau, Looker, etc.)
  • Strong familiarity with WMS platforms
  • Experience with SQL, data modeling, and data visualization best practices
  • Knowledge of labor management systems (LMS) and engineered labor standards
  • Understanding of supply chain KPIs and 3PL cost-to-serve models

Travel
  • Expected 20-30% travel

For this position, the expected base pay range is $160,783.20 - $200,979.00 . Actual compensation will be determined based on job-related factors such as relevant experience, skills, education, certifications, and geographic location, in accordance with applicable laws and company policy.
