Job description

The Operations Analyst will support the President of Inspection & Mitigation (I&M) by driving day-to-day strategic and operational priorities across the business. This role combines analytical support, process improvement, and cross-functional coordination to enhance performance, efficiency, and decision-making.


Strategic & Operational Support

  • Support the President of I&M in executing strategic initiatives and operational priorities
  • Assist in tracking business performance and identifying areas of opportunity
  • Conduct research and analysis to support planning, problem-solving, and key business initiatives

Data Analysis & Reporting

  • Build, maintain, and update Excel reports, dashboards, trackers, and basic financial/operational models
  • Analyze data to generate insights and support decision-making
  • Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs)

Process Improvement

  • Identify, analyze, and implement process improvement initiatives (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma methodologies)
  • Diagram and evaluate current workflows to identify inefficiencies
  • Recommend and support implementation of more efficient ways of working

Project Coordination

  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to gather information and track deliverables
  • Support execution of operational and strategic projects
  • Organize, lead, and facilitate project meetings and working sessions

Performance Measurement & Optimization

  • Develop metrics for process measurement and continuous improvement
  • Collect and analyze data to identify root causes of operational issues
  • Measure performance against defined standards and align improvements to performance gaps
  • Perform cost-benefit analyses to evaluate improvement initiatives

Continuous Improvement & Best Practices

  • Research and benchmark industry best practices
  • Provide recommendations on process re-engineering techniques
  • Support training and communication related to process improvements and performance metrics

 Other work duties as assigned.


KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, formulas, basic modeling)
  • Familiarity with Lean, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methodologies
  • Strong organizational and project coordination skills
  • Excellent communication and presentation abilities
  • Ability to work cross-functionally and manage multiple priorities

 EDUCATION:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations, Engineering, Finance, or related field
  • 2–5 years of experience in operations analysis, business analysis, or process improvement
  • Experience supporting senior leadership preferred

PHYSICAL JOB REQUIREMENTS & DEMANDS:

  • Primarily office-based with extended periods of sitting and computer use
  • Ability to sit for prolong periods of time.
  • Ability to work on a computer for prolonged periods of time.
