ShipMonk rating

6.0

Company rating: 6.0 out of 10

Based on 16 frontline employees who took The Breakroom Quiz

Job description

ShipMonk isn't just a 3PL — we're the tech-powered growth partner for ecommerce brands, running 12+ owned fulfillment centers across the US, Canada, the UK, and Europe so our merchants can stress less and grow more.

The role

ShipMonk moves a lot of inventory through a lot of fulfillment centers, and the operations team makes decisions every day about capacity, labor, and throughput. Your job is to make sure those decisions are backed by data instead of gut feel.

You'll join the operations analytics team and own the analyses that shape how we run fulfillment. This is a senior seat. You won't just build dashboards, you'll decide what's worth measuring, find the problems hiding in the data, and tell operations leaders what to do about them.

What you'll own

The numbers behind fulfillment decisions. You build and own the dashboards and KPIs that operations leaders use to run the business. When throughput drops or labor cost spikes, you're the one who explains why.

The analysis that finds problems early. You dig into the data to spot trends and inefficiencies before they become expensive, then bring a clear recommendation, not just a chart.

Models that support planning. You help build the forecasts and capacity models that feed operational plans and budgets.

The story for stakeholders. You turn complex analysis into something an operations VP can act on in five minutes.

What you bring

  • 3+ years in supply chain analytics, operations analysis, or capacity and fulfillment management
  • Strong skills in Excel and a BI tool (we use Metabase and Tableau; Power BI experience transfers fine)
  • The ability to turn messy operational data into a clear recommendation
  • Comfort working directly with operations teams, not just sending reports over the wall
  • Experience with statistical modeling is a plus, especially for forecasting and capacity work

What success looks like in year one

  • The operations team relies on your dashboards to make weekly decisions
  • You've identified at least one process improvement that showed up in real cost or throughput numbers
  • Your forecasts are accurate enough that planning leans on them
  • Stakeholders come to you for the answer, not just the data

Committed to the Future: We invest over $10 million annually in research and development to ensure our technology and services continually evolve, helping merchants plant roots with a partner who is here to stay.

Our Core Values

Our values are the heart of our culture. We're looking for individuals who embody these principles every day.

  • Merchant-first: We handle the logistics so our merchants can focus on what they do best—growing their business.
  • People make ShipMonk: We believe in our team and invest in our people.
  • Own it: We take ownership of our work, our mistakes, and our successes.
  • Get sh*t done: We're a fast-paced, high-growth company that values action and results.
  • Change the score: We challenge the status quo, constantly innovating and improving.

ShipMonk is an equal opportunity employer. We value diversity and do not discriminate on the basis of race, religion, color, national origin, gender, sexual orientation, age, marital status, veteran status, or disability status.
