Job description

Position Summary
Headquartered in Englewood Cliffs, N.J., Samsung Electronics America, Inc. (SEA), the U.S. Sales and Marketing subsidiary, is a leader in mobile technologies, consumer electronics, home appliances, enterprise solutions and networks systems. For more than four decades, Samsung has driven innovation, economic growth and workforce opportunity across the United States-investing over $100 billion and employing more than 20,000 people nationwide. By integrating our large portfolio of products, services and AI technology, we're creating smarter, sustainable and more connected experiences that empower people to live better. SEA is a wholly owned subsidiary of Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd.

The MBO Operations & Analytics Manager is a newly created role within a team that is being rebuilt to transform the MBO process within SEA. This role owns the "digital MBO engine" - the systems, data, and automation that power the enterprise MBO process. This role splits focus roughly evenly between analytics/automation and day-to-day operations: building and maintaining automated validation, data integration, scoring, and dashboarding capabilities, while also running exception-based workflow management and self-service support for business owners and executives across SEA's lines of business.
Role and Responsibilities
[Digital MBO Engine & Automation]
  • Build and maintain automated validation of MBO data submissions, reducing manual review and error risk across business units.
  • Own data integration across source systems (e.g., Varicent) and downstream scorecards, ensuring consistent, reliable data flows for target-setting and evaluation cycles.
  • Develop and maintain the scoring engine used to calculate MBO results, and build dashboards that give leadership and business owners real-time visibility into performance.
  • Build and expand self-service capabilities so executives and business owners can access standard reports, forms, and status updates without manual intervention from the MBO team.
  • Evaluate, prototype, and implement AI-enabled approaches to drive MBO administration efficiency.

[MBO Operations]
  • Manage day-to-day MBO system setup and maintenance, including scorecard configuration and ongoing administration.
  • Support actual collection and score calculation for quarterly and semi-annual evaluation cycles, coordinating with business owners across LOBs to ensure timely, accurate submissions.
  • Respond to user and system administration needs (corrections, access issues, technical troubleshooting) with an eye toward reducing recurring requests through better tooling.
  • Support the Leadership Committee evaluation cycle by ensuring data, scoring, and dashboards are ready and accurate ahead of key reviews.

Skills and Qualifications
[Education]
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Data Analytics, or a related field

[Experience]
  • 6+ years of experience in business/data analytics, systems administration, financial planning & analysis, or operations roles involving performance management, incentive, or scorecard systems.
  • Hands-on experience with data integration, validation, and dashboarding tools (e.g., Excel/Power BI/Tableau-class tools; experience with Varicent or similar incentive/performance management platforms a strong plus).
  • Experience building AI-assisted tools or portals for internal business processes (e.g., using low-code/AI platforms such as Gemini, Codex, or similar).
  • Strong process orientation with the ability to design workflows and exception-management logic, not just execute existing ones.
  • Effective communicator able to work directly with business owners on data and process issues.
