Job description

We are seeking a highly motivated and passionate hospitality professional to join our team as a Front Office Manager / Sales Coordinator.
This position requires a dual focus, combining the daily leadership and operational responsibilities of a Front Office Manager with the business development and administrative responsibilities of a Sales Coordinator.
The successful candidate will ensure an exceptional guest experience while supporting sales efforts, client relationships, group business, and hotel revenue goals.
The Front Office Manager / Sales Coordinator will work closely with the General Manager and Revenue Manager to strengthen front office operations, secure new accounts, support existing clients, and drive business growth.
ResponsibilitiesThe ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership, listening, and communication skills, be organized, results-driven, and capable of balancing operational priorities with sales responsibilities.
The candidate must also:
  • Regular schedule Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Schedule flexibility may occasionally be required based on hotel operations, group arrivals, meetings, and business needs.
  • Demonstrate initiative, professionalism, integrity, and consistent follow-through.
  • Work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Provide exceptional service to guests, clients, and colleagues.
  • Manage multiple responsibilities and changing priorities in a fast-paced hotel environment.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and positive attitude in all interactions.
Front Office Responsibilities
  • Oversee daily front office operations and ensure efficient, professional guest service.
  • Lead, support, and coach front desk team members.
  • Assist with front desk scheduling, training, and performance management.
  • Monitor guest arrivals, departures, special requests, and group room blocks.
  • Resolve guest concerns promptly and professionally.
  • Ensure front office procedures, brand standards, and hotel policies are followed.
  • Review front office reports, reservations, room status, and daily operational needs.
  • Coordinate with housekeeping, maintenance, and other departments to support smooth hotel operations.
  • Ensure accurate handling of payments, deposits, billing, and front desk documentation.
  • Support coverage of front desk responsibilities when operationally necessary.
Sales Coordinator Responsibilities
  • Assist with developing and executing the hotel's marketing plan, sales budget, and market-segment strategies.
  • Prospect for and help secure new business through outside sales calls, telemarketing, networking, and community involvement.
  • Schedule and complete sales appointments with prospective and existing clients.
  • Coordinate negotiated local rate accounts and support rate discussions in collaboration with the General Manager.
  • Support group business efforts, including proposals, contracts, room blocks, cutoff dates, billing details, and client follow-up.
  • Coordinate with hotel operations to ensure group stays, events, and meetings run smoothly.
  • Assist clients with meeting planning, property tours, and presentations of hotel amenities and services.
  • Maintain accurate sales files, client records, activity logs, and information in the hotel's sales system.
  • Implement a weekly prospecting plan focused on hotel need dates and priority market segments.
  • Manage incoming sales leads and respond to inquiries accurately and efficiently.
  • Maintain relationships with potential and existing clients while delivering exceptional customer service.
  • Participate in revenue management discussions when appropriate.
  • Prepare sales activity and performance reports for management review.
  • Complete other duties as assigned by the supervisor or hotel management.
Required Skills• Minimum of 2 years hotel sales or management experience
• Strong knowledge of PMS systems and online platforms
• Proven ability to generate business and meet sales goals
• Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and maintain composure under pressure
