Job description

Image Hotel Management is seeking highly motivated and passionate General Managers for multiple properties located in Tennessee, Kentucky, Ohio and Michigan.
The General Manager is a polished, well-spoken and well-regarded ambassador who carries a strong vision for their hotel. They are charged with the responsibility for all aspects of operations for their assigned property, providing support, supervision, and guidance to their management team and front line associates. He or she will ensure that financial performance is optimized, high quality product and service levels are maintained, and the hotel is operated in compliance with state, federal and local regulations as well as Company and brand standards. They will provide hands-on leadership to ensure that revenue is maximized while expenses are effectively controlled.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee all aspects of operations by exercising demonstrated knowledge and experience in all phases of hotel management, including sales and marketing, human resources, food and beverage, budget and forecast management, rooms, housekeeping and maintenance
  • Recruit, interview and train team members
  • Monitor and develop team member performance, to include, but not limited to, providing supervision and professional development, scheduling, conducting counseling and evaluations and delivering recognition and reward
  • Initiate disciplinary, or other staff-related actions in accordance with company rules and policies
  • Direct service quality, operational efficiency, guest satisfaction, standards compliance and service and financial measurements
  • Provide the vision, hands on leadership and strategy to inspire your associates to deliver exceptional service and drive financial success
  • Create a friendly, professional, and productive work environment with team member satisfaction
  • Effectively handle problems including anticipating preventing, identifying, and solving problems as necessary
  • Inspect Hotel operations for cleanliness and appearance; hold staff accountable
  • Analyze competitors and monitor surroundings to maximize profitability and sales opportunities
  • Appropriately respond to and resolve guest concerns implementing proactive approaches
  • Hotel Asset preservation. Including but not limited to: supervising maintenance, supplies, renovations, and furnishings
  • Guarantee a safe and secure environment for all guests and associates
  • Comply with licensing laws, health and safety, and other statutory regulations
  • Perform various other duties as assigned to meet business objectives
Required SkillsPrevious Hotel General Manager experience required (a minimum of 3 years)
Exceptional interpersonal skills with a history of top-notch customer
communication
Ability to work well in stressful high-pressure situations
Solid understanding of sales and revenue management
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)
Must have previous Hotel Experience
