Job description

Here at Scotts Miracle-Gro there is no such thing as a typical day. Our culture is constantly energized by new and exciting growth opportunities and at a rapid pace. Below are details on an open job. If the role interests you and you would like to be considered we encourage you to apply!

Overview:

If you are a master of process who thrives on bringing order to chaos, this is the role for you. We are looking for an Integrated Marketing & Operations Manager to serve as the operational heartbeat of our creative department for the Scotts, O.M. Scotts & Sons, and Ortho brands. PMP Certification preferred.

The Integrated Marketing Manager is a role for a high-functioning, organized individual. You don't just know where a project stands; you anticipate roadblocks before they happen and ensure our internal teams and external agencies have exactly what they need to execute flawlessly. This role will also help define and put structure behind the important work to deliver our impactful campaigns and marketing programs on time, on budget and with excellence.

Reporting to the Director of Creative, you will be the "Brand Steward" responsible for ensuring every project, from national video spots to social content calendars to complex packaging updates, can be managed the entire lifecycle of a projectmoves through the pipeline with precision, on time, and on brand. You are equal parts Project Leader and Account Director. You are the face of the creative team in cross-functional meetings, managing stakeholder expectations and protecting the creative vision.

What You'll Be Doing
  • Operational Leadership: Own the end-to-end lifecycle of creative projects across Scotts, Miracle-Gro, and Ortho, utilizing Workfront and Workday to manage resources, budgets, and milestones.

  • Creative Operations Lead: You will vet incoming briefs for completeness, push back on "fire drills," and prioritize work based on brand impact and bandwidth.

  • Cross-Functional Integration: Serve as the primary liaison between Creative, Media, Legal, and Brand teams. You are the "Account Director" who ensures communication is seamless and expectations are managed.

  • Production & Trafficking: Lead the technical delivery of assets. This includes managing video trafficking with external partners, understanding media specs, and ensuring final files meet all technical requirements for digital, broadcast, and print.

  • Legal & Compliance Oversight: Manage the complex review process for all communications, ensuring legal approvals are secured and integrated into the workflow without stalling timelines.

  • Change Management- able to educate internal stakeholders - can diplomatically enforce new intake processes and 'kill' rogue projects that haven't gone through proper channels

  • Data-Led Decision Making: Partner with the Analytics team to monitor real-time campaign performance. You won't just report on "what happened"; you will use predictive analytics to support work pivots mid-campaign for maximum ROI.

  • Workflow Optimization: Constantly refine our internal processes. You'll identify bottlenecks in our project management software and implement solutions to keep the team moving at high velocity.

  • Resource Management: Work closely with the Group Creative Director to ensure internal teams and external agencies are allocated effectively and briefed accurately, and ensure resources are allocated according to project needs.

Role Requirements
  • 5-8+ Years of Experience: You've spent significant time in an agency or fast-paced in-house environment in a Project Management or Account Director capacity. Experience in a high-volume CPG environment (either brand-side or at a specialized agency) preferred.

  • Software Super-User: You have deep, hands-on experience with Workfront (or similar enterprise PM tools) and Workday. You understand how to leverage these tools to track data and project health.

  • Production Fluency: You have a "black belt" in production workflows. You understand the nuances of video trafficking, file formats for media partners, and the specific rigors of retail/packaging production.

  • The "Account Sense": You possess the polish of an Account Director. You can navigate stakeholder politics, sell in a timeline, and keep everyone calm when deadlines shift.

  • Detail Obsession: You are the person who catches the missing legal disclaimer or the incorrect hex code. Your "brand stewardship" means nothing leaves the building without meeting our exact standards.

  • Media Knowledge: You understand how media buys influence creative delivery and can speak the language of media planners and buying agencies.

  • Analytics: Your stretch role will be to identify opportunities for creatives to activate new work. You are passionate about branding, storytelling, and producing engaging content

  • Can be self-sufficient and juggle many different types of projects on different timelines, with independent time-management skills.

  • Have experience presenting work in meetings, and selling creative visions to various stakeholders, cross-functionally.
