Residential Youth Worker/Direct Care Worker (Behavioral Health)
By offering outreach, encouragement and support, the Behavioral Health Paraprofessional, cultivates and secures a connection with the client, while teaching personal responsibility and serving as a mentor and role model. You will be a huge part of these youths everyday life experiences as you work with them in a group home setting.
As part of their job duties, the Behavioral Health Paraprofessional, may be asked to provide direct services to individuals such as outreach and engagement, linkage to community supports, transportation, and group facilitation.
This is a group home for boys ages 6-17.
Minimum Requirements:
- Have a High School Diploma / GED with some knowledge of behavioral health work.
- Qualifying driving record. Must have a valid driver's license and maintain a clean driving record as well.
- Excellent communication skills are needed.
- Ability to work independently, with flexibility, and within the prescribed guidelines.
- Basic computer skills.
- Required to be available weekends, evenings, nights and holidays as scheduled
- Certification of CPR and First Aid Training (Provided by Company)
- Must have fingerprint clearance issued by Arizona Department of Public Safety or eligible to receive within two (2) weeks of hire
- Be able to pass Criminal Background check
-Physical Exam within the last 2 year
-TB Test (Negative)
-Must be able to pass a drug screening
-Crisis Prevention & Intervention Training (Provided by Company)
