Behavior Technician II

Location: Mt. Laurel Strive Center

Status: Full-time/Part Time

First Children Services is currently seeking a Behavior Technician (BT) to join our team! We are a family-owned, family-operated, and family-focused organization. Our STRIVE Autism Center is a multi-site, behavioral health and ABA center. At STRIVE, we provide diagnostic evaluations, followed with evidence-based therapeutic services such as psychotherapy and ABA. While also providing full circle support through behavioral parent training and outreach. We are a passionate and dynamic group; unique for our eclectic, fun and collaborative spirit while still adhering to a high-quality, evidence-based practice. This is a center-based position.

Our STRIVE centers are not like any other. Our motto is for children to be in a happy, relaxed and engaged environment to optimize learning. When you enter our center, it embodies everything you would have wanted as a kid coupled with ABA professionals implementing therapeutic services. Our Roselle Park Center comprises of 10+ playrooms, including art therapy, music therapy, sensory room, with an outside patio for outdoor therapy in warmer seasons, plus much more! We implement group and individual therapy out of our center. We’ve created an environment where our clients and staff love to be, resulting in better outcomes.

Day to day primary functions:

• Work 1:1 with client in independent and group settings

• Support healthy communication, social and behavioral skills

• Provide interactive therapeutic support to extinguish or minimize maladaptive behaviors

• Collaborate with the treatment team to increase positive behavioral outcomes

• Read and implement individualized treatment plans

• Collect session data and submit documentation in a timely manner

What we require from you:

• HS Diploma

• 1 year minimum of working with children

• Previous experience working with Autism preferred

• Comfortable with using technology for daily documentation

• Strong interpersonal and documentation skills

• Willingness to accept and implement practical feedback

• Ability to stand, bend, kneel and run during shift
