The targets address a fundamental training gap: the first time that shooters fire live ammunition at a realistic moving target is during a real firefight. The Robot Technician/Assembler will work in our Huntsville Manufacturing and Spares/Support Facility.

Tasks

Primary tasks include:

  • Work will include repair of active fleet of Robotic Target inventory
  • Debug and repair of sub-component parts returned from the field
  • Assembly/testing of new parts
  • Assistance with R&D projects for new robot types
  • Assistance on production line during production runs
  • There may be occasional trips to the field to assist in running robots on the range

Skills/Attributes

  • Candidates should have prior experience working with tools in an electro-mechanical environment
  • A high mechanical aptitude and some basic experience with electrical debugging
  • Ability to take instruction remotely and then work independently
  • High problem solving skills
  • Aptitude for low voltage debugging
  • High Motivation - a go getter!
  • US Military service is a plus

Terms

This position is Full-time but will consider college students with an electro/mechanical mindset able to work at least 24-30 hours per week. *Average hours worked may affect benefits eligibility.
