The Home Care Billing and Authorization Specialist is responsible for processing authorizations, eligibility, and billing for our Home Care clients. A successful team member will have excellent communication skills, good interpersonal skills, and a good understanding of billing and authorization practices. Ultimately, well organized, efficient, and approachable.

As a Billing & Authorization Specialist with Anova you will:
- Enter and maintain Client authorizations, including rate changes
- Proactively track expiring authorizations
- Process initial and weekly eligibility verification for our Community Health Choices cli
- Process weekly and monthly billing / invoices for following Client types:
- Community Health Choices (via HHA Exchange)
- VA (via Waystar and VACCN)
- Pennsylvania Options
- Private Pay
- Long Term Care Insurance
- Manage account receivables (AR) and provide monthly AR aging reports to management
- Register payment remittances within home care billing platform and coordinate with necessary reimbursement partners to resolve outstanding receivables
- Audit billing and payroll records for accuracy
- Collaborate with branch locations to facilitate exceptional communications
- Work with other members of the finance and accounting department to compile, analyze, and report financial data
Qualifications and Skills:
- Minimum of one year experience performing billing and authorization responsibilities
- Ability to work on multiple tasks and ensure that all assignments are completed in an accurate and timely manner
- Detail-oriented and strong organizational skills
- Able to exercise discretion with confidential information
- Proficient with Microsoft Office
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Able to work independently with minimal supervision (but in a team environment)
- Previous Home Care experience preferred, but not required
