Summary

Maverick Corporation is seeking an Electrical Engineer. This role will design and develop charging system architecture and system design based on the first principles approach, functional safety concepts, and detailed system analysis to include development of one-line diagrams through the schematic design and contract document development. Moreover, they will serve as a subject matter expert and provide guidance to both technical and non-technical teams internal and external to Maverick. High performers in this position will be able to review and design complex electronic circuits, identify alternative electronic components for certification requirements and perform testing with third-party equipment for compatibility.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical design for construction projects including utility and electric vehicle charging stations.
• Provide technical guidance on client standards and expectations to engineering and technician staff that include detailed design.
• Serve as technical expert in electrical power distribution and miscellaneous plant electrical systems for client consultations.
• Build business relationships with clients to understand needs and drivers.
• Construction inspection and resolution of electrical construction issues.
• Coordination with local electrical utilities on project technical needs.
• Review of supplier submittals.
• Act as a liaison between the local design team, client and remote design teams to support project planning and execution.
• Support business development related to enhanced electrical vehicle and other Company services.
• Startup and testing of major electrical equipment.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited program.
• Professional Engineer’s license in MA, CT or another US jurisdiction, preferred.
• 5+ years in electrical design, planning and construction services.
• Electrical vehicle knowledge a plus.
• Experience in medium and low voltage power distribution equipment.
• Understanding of Utility standards, NECA codes and fiber optic cabling.
• Experience in a client-facing/business development role.

• PE /EE certification a plus.
• Pre-employment onboarding requirements (if selected) which may include any/all of the following: criminal/civil background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle records search, in compliance with any applicable laws and regulations.
