POSITION: Facilities Manager
LOCATION: Lyric Theatre, New York City, NY
HOURS: Full Time, flexible and extended hours, including nights, weekends and holidays, in addition to normal office hours
COMPENSATION: 75k to 85k-Commensurate with Experience
ABOUT THE POSITION
ATG Entertainment, is seeking full-time facilities manager to oversee and perform ongoing facilities and maintenance activities.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Overall knowledge of the building’s HVAC, elevator, MEP operations and maintenance.
- Maintenance of and repairs to doors, carpeting, floor tiles, bar equipment, railings, fixtures & hardware, minor plumbing (including sinks, toilet & shower fixtures, leaks), ejector pump, soap & paper towel dispensers, drywall, grout/calk, and other building-related items
- Oversees and supervise the quality of work for other employees to ensure that all tasks are performed correctly, efficiently, and effectively.
- Conducts and documents regular facilities inspections.
- -Oversight of vendors for maintenance contract work.
- Development of standard operating procedures.
- Monitor HVAC to ensure desired temperature throughout the venue and handle immediate HVAC issues
- Apply special attention to patron-facing spaces, such as lobbies and bar spaces, which may require such tasks as sanding, drywall, spackling, and touch-up painting
- Place project material orders, input & receipt of orders in PO system, handle invoices, and other tasks as needed - Schedule/meet with external vendors to discuss preventative maintenance or extensive repairs
- Works with various State and City inspectors (e.g., elevator, plumbing, fire) to ensure compliance with city and state codes, accessibility standards of 1990 Americans with Disabilities Act, and both ATG and OSHA related safety standards for staff, contractors and service providers.
- Facilitate monthly and annual checks of the fire extinguishers and fire safety equipment.
- Manage housekeeping staff.
- Anticipate building needs and regularly assess facilities for preventative maintenance opportunities for mechanical equipment.
- Additional short and long-term preventative maintenance, repairs, and capital projects, as directed by venues’ management team
- Administrative tasks, such as vendor site visit reports, scheduling projects and inspections, maintenance logs, and updating property register
PEOPLE, PLACES, AND THINGS
• You will be working at the Lyric Theatre
• You will need to collaborate and effectively communicate with building departments,
including General Management, Backstage Crew, Stage Door, Box Office, Food & Beverage
and the visiting tenant
EXPERIENCE and SKILLS
• High School Diploma or equivalent, with additional certifications or training
• 5+ Years in facilities, trade, or similar positions
• Bonus points for project management experience
• Experience or strong understanding of working with Unions (Local 1, Local 6, others) preferred,
but not required.
• S95 (Supervision of Fire Alarm Systems), S-12 (Citywide Sprinkler Systems) and S-13 (Citywide Standpipe System) Certifications
preferred, but not required. If not a current certificate holder, must obtain upon hiring.
• Experience with Landmarked Buildings preferred, but not required.
• Ability to work well under pressure
