Bitcoin Mining Service Technician

We are seeking a Bitcoin Mining Service Technician to join our team at Kaboomracks. This role is responsible for maintaining the respect we have earned within the industry and assisting in powering our future growth. This position is designed for a mid-level employee who is looking for long-term growth potential with the ability to make a positive impact for our rapidly growing hosting division.

Core Responsibilities:

• Support the Hosting Mining Operations team and proprietary Bitcoin mining operations

• Deploy new Bitcoin mining units at the data center

• Maintain current operating fleet of Bitcoin mining machines

• Mitigate issues as they arise to maintain site uptime

• Using technical expertise, perform repairs and maintenance on the mining equipment as needed

  • General maintenance of equipment

  • Replace fans, power supplies, and other hardware

  • Keep equipment in good operating condition

• Work with the Operations team to coordinate shipping and receiving of equipment

• Work with software systems to set programming parameters of equipment

• Document inventory of equipment and spare parts

• Creates and maintain extensive documentation of all facets of Data Center

• Keep the Data Center clean and properly maintained at all times.

• Perform general site maintenance as required

Required Qualifications

• 1-2 years of experience working with Bitcoin mining rigs OR data center experience

• Highly organized

• Ability to lift up to 50lbs repetitively

• Ability to bend, squat and stand for extended periods of time throughout the workday

• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written

• Highly motivated and goal-oriented individual

• Ability to manage task/goal priority and shift as company strategy evolves

• Ability to work in a data center environment, which includes high levels of noise and periodic cold and hot temperatures.

• Organized working style to manage and consistently prioritize key initiatives, not afraid to be very hands on

Work hours: This is a Full-Time hourly non-exempt position expected to work a minimum of 40 hours per week. On site work is required at a facility located in McAllen, Texas.
