Job Description

MBS is hiring Mechanical Engineer in Urbana, OH. This position is a full-time, direct hire opportunity.

FULL JOB DESCRIPTION

PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Design layouts, foundations, anchors, piping, controls, etc. for installation of new processes or machinery, or revisions of existing ones.
Prepare cost estimates and funding requests for improvement projects.
Produce designs that will be safe, maintainable, reliable, and environmentally and legally acceptable.
Plan and supervise installation of new plant projects coordinating process downtime, equipment deliveries, maintenance forces, contractors, and service suppliers.
Provide engineering expertise throughout the plant for solutions to production problems, development of new techniques, and evaluation of existing equipment and procedures.
Work directly with Production, Maintenance, and other Engineering employees.

REQUIREMENTS

Engineering B.S. and five years of experience in a manufacturing setting desired.
Effectively utilize computer-based applications including Microsoft Office, Solidworks, and AutoCAD.
Demonstrated ability to lead and participate in team-based activities.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Exceptional analytical problem-solving and equipment vendor management skills.
