The role of a production supervisor is essential for ensuring that the production process runs smoothly, efficiently, and meets the company's goals and standards. Effective communication, problem-solving skills, and leadership abilities are key attributes for success in this role.

Supervises assembly, test, and/or other manufacturing functions. Ensures that all parts, components, and systems conform to standards and specifications. Plans and schedules manufacturing activities. Prepares reports on the status of units being assembled or tested. Normally supervises more than 30 exempt or non-exempt employees or employees with complex occupational skills. May perform manufacturing or test engineering functions.

As the Production Supervisor, you will be responsible for:

Team Management:

  • Foster a positive and collaborative work environment to enhance team morale and productivity.
  • Training & Development: Identify training needs within the production team and implement programs to enhance skills and performance.


Production Planning:

  • Reviews production orders or schedules to ascertain product data such as types, quantities, and specifications of products and scheduled delivery dates to plan department operations.
  • Plans production operations, establishing priorities and sequences for manufacturing products.
  • Prepares operational schedules and coordinates manufacturing activities to ensure production and quality of products meets specification.
  • Reviews production and operating reports and resolves operational, manufacturing, and maintenance problems to ensure minimum costs and prevent operational delays.


Quality Control:

  • Implement and enforce quality control measures to guarantee that products meet or exceed specifications.


Documentation:

  • Develops or revises standard operational and working practices and observes workers to ensure compliance with standards.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline or equivalent plus 2+ years of manufacturing work experience with progressive responsibility. Must have demonstrated leadership abilities.
  • Specific know-how: Lean methodologies, concepts, practices and procedures understanding.
  • Ability to work well within cross-functional teams as a team player
  • Must be a US Citizen or US Permanent Resident


Nice to Have:

  • Lean Six Sigma certification.


Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 25 lbs. often, 50 lbs. occasionallyand 75 lbs. seldom.
  • Ability to bend, stoop, twist, climb, crouch, or squat, kneel or sit - requiring full body mobility.
