Nurse Practitioner

Overview:We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Nurse Practitioner to join our esteemed plastic surgery practice. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for patient care, strong surgical skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with our team of surgeons and medical professionals. This position will primarily involve assisting in surgical procedures by providing patient care before, during, and after surgeries, with a particular focus on closing up procedures under the guidance of the surgeon.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with plastic surgeons and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care.
• Assist in surgical procedures, including pre-operative assessments, intra-operative assistance, and post-operative care.
• Prepare patients for surgery by conducting pre-operative assessments, obtaining informed consent, and ensuring all necessary documentation is completed.
• Assist in the operating room by providing surgical support, including positioning patients, sterilizing equipment, and preparing surgical instruments.
• Work closely with the surgical team to anticipate the needs of the surgeon during procedures.
• Close up surgical incisions and wounds under the direction of the surgeon, ensuring optimal aesthetic outcomes and patient safety.
• Monitor patients during surgery and in the post-anesthesia recovery area, providing appropriate interventions as needed.
• Evaluate patients’ progress during the post-operative period, assessing for complications and ensuring appropriate follow-up care.
• Provide patient education regarding post-operative care instructions, wound care, and potential complications.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement evidence-based care plans.
• Maintain accurate and detailed medical records, documenting all aspects of patient care.

Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Nursing from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
• Current certification as a Nurse Practitioner, with specialization in plastic surgery or a related field preferred.
• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse and Nurse Practitioner.
