Responsibilities: • Establish a system of food stations and stock them with all of the necessary ingredients for the shift • Keep all workstations, counters, cooking equipment, and refrigerators clean and sanitary according to health and safety rules • Demonstrate professional and pleasant demeanor when interacting with visitors, vendors, and associates • Cook food orders at stations by following established recipes and presentation standards for grilling, broiling, and sautéing menu items • Adhere to established storage and waste control standards for meats, vegetables, fruits, and dairy products to ensure quality food is served • Consistently providing quality food preparation, service, organization, and cleanliness, adhering to DOH and Fairlane Hotel Standards • Providing speed, accuracy, and efficiency in a fast-paced environment • Cleaning and maintaining kitchen, prep and dish areas, and equipment • Understanding and proper use of recipes and kitchen equipment • Flexibility in executing the varying event and seasonal menus • Adhere to established storage and waste control standards for meats, vegetables, fruits, and dairy products to ensure quality food is served • Cook food orders at stations by following established recipes and presentation standards for flat-top, oven, and toaster cooking methods • Set up cooking stations and fill them with all of the essential preparation items for a shift • Demonstrate a professional and pleasant demeanor when interacting with visitors, vendors, and associates • Can work safely and neatly among professional-grade kitchen utensils i.e., knives, etc. as well as hot surfaces i.e., grill tops, stove tops, ovens, etc. in an occasionally above-average temperature setting Responsabilidades: • Proporcionar constantemente preparación de alimentos, servicio, organización y limpieza de calidad, cumpliendo con los estándares del DOH y Fairlane Hotel • Proporcionar velocidad, precisión y eficiencia en un entorno acelerado • Limpieza y mantenimiento de las áreas y equipos de cocina, preparación y vajilla • Comprensión y uso adecuado de recetas y equipos de cocina • Flexibilidad en la ejecución de distintos menús de eventos y de temporada • Cumplir con los estándares establecidos de almacenamiento y control de desechos para carnes, verduras, frutas, y productos lácteos para garantizar que se sirvan alimentos de calidad • Cocine los pedidos de comida en las estaciones siguiendo recetas establecidas y estándares de presentación para métodos de cocción con superficie plana, horno y tostadora • Configure estaciones de cocina y llénelas con todos los elementos de preparación esenciales para un turno • Demostrar una conducta profesional y agradable al interactuar con los visitantes proveedores y asociados • Puede trabajar de forma segura y ordenada entre utensilios de cocina de calidad profesional, es decir, cuchillos, etc, así como superficies calientes, es decir, parrillas, estufas, hornos, etc., en ocasiones por encima del promedio Ajuste de temperatura Qualifications: • Ability to understand and comply with kitchen sanitation, safety and equipment usage, and food storage • Must be a hard worker with high attention to detail and have a strong work ethic • Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills with customers and coworkers • Prior food service industry experience is highly desired • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent GED certification • 2+ years of cooking experience preferred • Clear and polite communication skills with a positive attitude • Candidates must be hardworking, detail-oriented, and have a strong work ethic • Previous experience working in food service is preferred • Must be able to meet all operational, safety, and sanitation requirements of kitchen equipment and food storage • Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills with customers and coworkers Compensation: $25/hr
