Facilities Team Member

We are seeking a Grounds And Facility Maintenance to become a part of our team! You will perform necessary work to keep machines, mechanical equipment, and structure of an establishment in repair.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITES-
1. Cleaning:
" Vacuum, sweep, and damp mop floors
" Clean and clear debris from all entrances and exits to the church
" Dust weekly all areas of the church, including vacuuming furniture
" Clean bathrooms and fixtures, sanitize commodes and floors as required
" Inspect weekly the stairwell to balcony and balcony areas for cleanliness
" Restock all bathrooms with required supplies
" Spot-clean carpets according to protocol provided
" Monitor and maintain cleaning/custodial supplies as needed
" Clean windows, windows sills, and dust window blinds
" Assists in maintaining grounds on Saint Luke's Campus so they are clean, attractive and safe
2. Facilitate Worship and Program Ministry Set-Ups:
" Arrange/re-arrange furniture as directed by the Ministry Teams
" Assist with set up as required/directed for church functions
" Help monitor calendar for upcoming events that will require specific set up
" Clean up and set up of Graham Hall events
3. General Maintenance:
" Replace light bulbs as needed on Church Campus
" Assist in maintaining Church Bus including cleaning, refueling, and general upkeep maintenance
" Columbarium maintenance
" Assist in monitoring HVAC controls system, fire alarm systems, sprinkler systems etc.)
" Help inspect church equipment (plumbing, mechanical, lighting, sprinkler, fire systems etc.)
" Notify Facility Coordinator or Executive Administrator about damages or needed repairs to equipment as observed in the daily maintenance of the facility
" Sweep outside entrances and walkways to church building to maintain safe entry
" Help maintain the outside of Church Campus (parking lot, sidewalks, Pavillion, meadows, playground, and gardens)
" Assist in maintaining the church light schedule both interior and exterior each day
" Assist in monitoring grounds watering schedule
JOB SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS-
1. Ability to perform work with a positive attitude and attention to detail in harmony with Church leadership and members.
2. Ability to work independently to accomplish duties with minimal or no supervision.
3. Must display adequate physical health and strength to carry out maintenance and custodial activities. Ability to stand, lift, push at least 50 lbs.
4. Ability to communicate effectively.
5. Illustrate spiritual growth and maturity in personal demeanor.
6. Able to work alone and with others to carry out duties and responsibilities.
7. Acknowledge the facility as a house of God, and model appropriate behavior.
8. Must have knowledge and experience in housekeeping standards and general maintenance.
9. Prompt attendance to work and prompt effective performance of all assigned tasks in timely manner.
10. Ability to organize work and use good work habits in daily tasks.
11. Must have valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
