What You'll Do

This position is a full-time permanent position in a manufacturing environment. This position will be responsible for assisting in the manufacturing of charitable and lottery gaming products, including pull-tab tickets (break-open tickets) and bingo paper.

This position will play a key role in operating and monitoring all functions of the Cutter as necessary, adhere to all quality control standards, and ensure all procedures; including safety procedures and instructions are followed.

Additional Duties and Responsibilities Include:

  • Utilize the "Trouble Shooting" guide procedures for improving the throughput efficiency.
  • Ensure satisfactory general upkeep of the machine.
  • Verify completion and accuracy of all shift reports and logs.
  • Train designated back up operators in all functions and duties of the Cut for Collation position.
  • Attain daily shift minimum production requirements and strive to achieve the shift production goal.
  • Keep area clean and organized at all times.
  • Communicate and coordinate with the Supervisor on all of the above responsibilities.
  • Oversee and perform the prescribed "Start-up Procedures" of the Cutter operation.
  • Check back gauge for squareness and tilt at start of shift.
  • Check schedule to see what needs to be cut.
  • Check press run list to verify form numbers and amounts.
  • Check for win-code if necessary.
  • Watch for tags or red marks indicating waste or sheets.
  • Check cut sheets for proper positioning, alignment, and quality of cuts.
  • Measure skids after cutting, 1" = 83 sheets, and make sure total cut equals press run amount.
  • Stack and tag each skid properly.
  • Move skids to warehouse as needed.
  • Clean the prescribed areas of the Cutter workstation.
  • Complete production reports and all other shift reports.
  • Contact Supervisor immediately if production, safety or quality standards are not being satisfied.
  • Ensure the designated back up operator performs the required job functions of the primary operator at least 25% of the time for cross training purposes.
  • Other duties as assigned.

What You'll Need

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 2 to 5 years' experience in area of responsibility
  • Ability to read and follow printed instructions
  • Ability to direct subordinates, if applicable
  • Moderate to advanced computer skills
  • Ability to work well under minimal supervision
  • Ability to direct subordinates and/or crew, if applicable
  • Troubleshooting abilities
  • Ability to objectively review information pertinent to position
  • Effective in time management
  • Demonstrated strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks in an organized manner within a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to apply strong attention to detail and produce work with accuracy
  • Ability to work independently and self-direct work, and in a team oriented environment
  • Aptitude to learn new computer software
  • Ability to prioritize workflow, maintain schedules and follow up to meet deadlines
  • Keen attention to detail
  • Ability to work well in a diverse environment.
