JOB SUMMARY
As a Field Service PLC Technician, you will maintain our Airscwo systems. This will include providing support during the initial testing of systems, testing various operating conditions, performing planned and unplanned maintenance and system checks. The role will require a combination of office work and fieldwork, as well as significant travel and time on-site.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
As a PLC Technician, you will perform a large number of tasks related to designing, programming, repairing, and maintaining the programmable logic controllers in our AirSCWO system in preparation and deployment. Some of the specific tasks of the PLC Technician include:
Perform preventative maintenance, equipment installation, and troubleshooting to ensure all equipment is operating properly with minimal down time
Apply knowledge of the functional operation of electronic units and systems
Move and position materials and supplies as required to perform maintenance operations
Assist in identifying and procuring equipment and parts necessary for daily maintenance requirements
Responsible for performing equipment repair, maintenance, and troubleshooting services
WHO YOU ARE
Qualifications, Experience and Skills
1+ years’ experience performing PLC Technician duties of installation, maintenance, and repair of industrial machinery and equipment
Education: PLC technical degree preferred, but not required
Experience in wastewater, water, and waste treatment processes, operations, and equipment for municipal and industrial applications preferred, but not required
Knowledge and experience in high-pressure, supercritical, hydrothermal, or similar processes preferred, but not required
Experience in troubleshooting and repairing electrical and mechanical systems
Mechanical aptitude and good at working with hands
Specific relevant area of expertise in pressure systems, electrical & instrumentation, metallurgy, separations, valves, pumps, etc.
Willingness and ability to travel to company, client, partner, and event locations, and spend contiguous weeks on-site with clients
Outstanding social, communication, and interpersonal skills
Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
This position requires using hands to troubleshoot equipment, close vision, and dexterity with fingers
This position requires an individual to stand for long periods of time and move about the facility
Ability to lift 40 lbs
