Weld Technician, up to $26/hr, Farmington Hills, MI
Are you looking to further your career and grow as a Weld Technician? Do you have experience welding/fabricating and troubleshooting and repairing equipment, specifically heat treating equipment?If so, this is the position for you, and you have to look no further!
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Welding mild or stainless pipe, plate, or angle steel
- Fabrication of miscellaneous furnace parts
- Operating equipment such as: saws, drills, grinders, MIG/TIG welders, plasma cutters, fork lifts, scissors lifts, and cranes
- Shop maintenance
- Brick/Insulation work
- Pipe fitting/Pipe welding
- Painting furnace exteriors, piping, and spare parts
Qualifications:
- General maintenance knowledge
- Basic understanding of shop safety and procedures
- Schedule flexibility
- Troubleshooting capabilities
- Print reading capabilities
- Willingness to take on a variety of different tasks
- Must have valid Drivers License
In this position, the Weld Technician will be responsible for troubleshooting/repairing heat treating equipment and reporting back to project management or the job lead. This position is going from 7am-3:30pm M-F. This position is for a heat treating equipment manufacturer and is a direct hire opportunity!
