Job Title: Traffic Engineer
Location: Duluth, GA
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Traffic Engineer to join our team. As a Traffic Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and implementing traffic control systems to ensure the safe and efficient flow of traffic on roads and highways.
Responsibilities:
- Design and implement traffic control systems to ensure the safe and efficient flow of traffic on roads and highways
- Conduct traffic studies and analyze data to identify traffic patterns and potential safety hazards
- Develop and implement traffic management plans to improve traffic flow and reduce congestion
- Collaborate with other engineers and stakeholders to ensure that traffic control systems are integrated with other transportation systems
- Prepare technical reports and presentations to communicate findings and recommendations to clients and stakeholders
- Stay up-to-date with the latest traffic engineering technologies and trends
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field
- Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred or ability to obtain
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in traffic engineering
- Strong knowledge of traffic engineering principles and practices
- Proficiency in traffic engineering software such as Synchro, VISSIM, and AutoCAD
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
