Yoga Instructor for Summer School Program

Position: Yoga Instructor
Location: La Quinta, CA
Type: Part-Time
Schedule: 4 days a week, 3 hour-long classes a day

Dates: June 10 - July 11
Monday - Thursday, 12:30 - 3:50 pm
- Including one Friday on June 21st

Compensation: $175 per day

About Us: Mindful Roots is a premier provider of after school sports clinics and yoga for elementary and middle schools. Our mission is to inspire and empower young minds through sports, fostering physical activity, teamwork, and personal growth.

Job Description: We are seeking a passionate and skilled yoga instructor to lead engaging and educational yoga classes for elementary and middle school students. As a Yoga Instructor at Mindful Roots, you will have the opportunity to make a positive impact on students' lives by teaching mindfulness skills that promote physical and mental health.

Responsibilities:

Design and deliver hour-long yoga sessions that cater to varying skill levels and abilities.
Organize fun and interactive yoga exercises to enhance students' practice.
Provide constructive feedback to students to help them improve their yoga practice.
Collaborate with the Mindful Roots team to create a comprehensive and well-rounded curriculum.

Qualifications:

Certified (preferred)
Previous experience as a yoga instructor, with a strong understanding of yoga fundamentals and mindfulness techniques.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to connect with and motivate young students.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage a group of students effectively.
CPR and First Aid certification (preferred)
Background check required.
