Job Description:

This position is open to preclinical MFT program students on the Macon campus. The work-study student will provide support for the Mercer Family Therapy Center on their assigned campus. The center provides low-cost psychotherapy services for families, couples, and individuals who reside in the Middle Georgia area. These services are provided by second-year Master of Family Therapy (MFT) graduate students who are supervised by licensed marriage and family therapists.

Duties/Responsibilities

Clerical and administrative support, which can include, but is not limited to, completing phone intakes and assessments, assigning clients, scheduling appointments, troubleshooting with clients, assisting in marketing efforts, completing data entry, assisting with chart audits, and other clinic projects as needed. The work-study student will be expected to help maintain the private practice work environment and will report directly to the Mercer Family Therapy Center (MFTC) clinic coordinator.

Student must be a preclinical student enrolled in the Marriage and Family Therapy Master's Program on the Macon campus. Student must have availability for work during the hours the MFT clinic operates. Students should have strong communications skills, computer skills, and interpersonal skills.
The GA will be paid $12.00/hr for 10 hours per week, as determined by budget and availability.
