Job description

Marriage & Family Therapist or Couples Counselor (Part-Time) - Columbus Office

Ascension Counseling, is a niched private practice with locations Beachwood and Columbus, Ohio. We are now accepting applications for part-time MFT/LPC, IMFT/LPCC, or IMFT-S/LPCC-S. This position is for clinicians who are motivated to help couples with relationship distress and individuals seeking therapy revolving around trauma and anxiety/depression change and recover. Professionals should be comfortable seeing clients in office. Competence when working with children and/or adolescents is required. Gottman Level 1 training is required and building clinical competence in Emotionally Focused Therapy for couples is required as well. Clinicians should be able to work prime hours in the office 4 evenings per week and at least 2 Saturdays a month. Caseload is 15 billable hours per week and will include conducting psychotherapy for couples, families and individuals.

Pay is more than competitive with other group practices in the area. The applicant must be currently licensed in good standing to practice in Ohio. Must be able to work in person in Beachwood or Columbus.

Ohio and North Carolina supervision provided. AAMFT supervision provided. EMDRIA consultation provided. CEUs provided.

Please be prepared to describe: your ideal client, cultural competence training/CEUs outside of mandatory graduate classes, your training couples therapy and in a specific trauma theory such as EMDR Therapy or Prolonged Exposure Therapy, as well as any additional interventions you enjoy using in your application materials.
