They provide counseling and therapy services to individuals, couples, and families, helping them address relationship issues, mental health concerns, and communication problems. Many summer LMFT positions are found in camps, schools, or community programs that operate primarily during the summer. These roles may focus on supporting youth, facilitating workshops, or offering short-term therapy. LMFTs must hold the appropriate state licensure and meet educational and clinical experience requirements.

Engaging in regular supervision and peer consultations can also provide valuable support and insight throughout the summer session.
