Position Overview

The Blue Ridge Hospice Counseling Center is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) to join our team in a full-time, remote position. This role is integral to providing quality mental health counseling and support to individuals, couples, and families facing a variety of challenges. You will play a vital role in enhancing patients' mental health, ensuring a holistic approach to wellness.

Work Environment

As a fully remote position, our LMFT will work from the comfort of their own home while connecting with patients through secure teletherapy platforms. This flexibility allows for a balanced work-life environment, while still fostering a strong connection with the Blue Ridge Hospice Counseling Center team. Our outpatient facilities ensure a professional setting that supports both client and therapist engagement when in-person sessions are necessary.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain positive therapeutic relationships with clients to foster trust and open communication.
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and diagnoses of mental health disorders to inform effective treatment strategies.
  • Create individualized treatment plans tailored to the unique needs and circumstances of each client, ensuring their voices are heard in the process.
  • Facilitate engaging individual and group therapy sessions focused on coping strategies and therapeutic progress.
  • Regularly monitor client progress through ongoing assessments and adapt treatment plans as needed to ensure optimal outcomes.
  • Refer clients to additional specialists when necessary, maintaining an integrated approach to patient care.
  • Engage in continuous professional development and collaborate with team members for feedback and holistic care strategies.
Patient Population / Client Focus

At Blue Ridge Hospice Counseling Center, our therapists work with a diverse clientele, including individuals and families experiencing stress, anxiety, depression, relationship issues, and other psychological challenges. Our goal is to empower patients to achieve mental wellness through tailored therapeutic interventions, focusing on both immediate struggles and long-term mental health goals.

Qualifications
  • An active state license as a Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) is required.
  • A Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a related field.
  • Strong foundational knowledge of mental health practices and therapies applicable to individuals and families.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience providing both individual and group therapy across various age demographics.
  • Familiarity with teletherapy practices and related technology is a plus.
  • Demonstrated ability to show empathy, maintain patience, and manage complex client situations effectively.
  • Proficiency in organizational skills to handle patient caseloads and administrative work efficiently.
Compensation and Benefits

The salary for this position ranges from USD 90,000 to 110,000 per year, commensurate with experience and skills.
